Background
Spectrum is a high-end specialty retailer of fine jewellery and exotic gemstones, headquartered in Carlsbad, California, with 8 locations in tourist related towns of Southeast Alaska.

Challenge
Our job was to develop a comprehensive package of end-to-end services in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, GL, Management Accounts, etc.

With the solutions being industry specific, it meant a replication of function and processes in all aspects. Besides, it also is interacting with the clients’ business associates and external agencies.

Solution
The project involved:
  • Conducting a detailed onsite study of the clients’ systems and procedures
  • Gaining working knowledge on processes involved and proper documentation
  • Facilitating a systematic transition of the processes through offsite set-up and training
  • Defining expectations and deliverables
Methodology
  • Assigning a dedicated, full-time team to the clients’ processes
  • Interacting effectively with the clients’ business associates like group companies, customers and suppliers, branches and agents, etc, and external agencies like inland revenue, trade agencies, tanks and insurance providers.
